Week 75: 2 John 1:12

2 John 1:12

Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink;
but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face,
that our joy may be full.

Week 74: Happy 4th of July!

Wild blackberries

What a week! There were many moments when it seemed it would never
end, but here we are, another p.day !Friday
we got to meet President and Sister McAteer for the first
time! It just so happened to be Canada Day, and they are from Canada,
so we wore red and white to welcome them. Problem! I do not own
anything red, so I borrowed my companions maroon shirt. Close enough,
right? We walked into the building, and I saw him, and I didn't
realize at first who he was. They are so cute! It is easy to tell that
they are nervous, but who isn't at the beginning of a mission? They
told us that not all of their things had made it to the mission home
yet. That is a bummer. They are very much foreigners with their
accents. It was fun just listening to them. They presented to us a
slideshow of pictures, but they did not have all the pictures that
they wanted to show us because their things have not made it yet, so
the slideshow was very random. Every time they referred to a place in
Canada they always looked at Sister Mandin for a connection because
she is from Canada. It was funny. Sister McAteer has a kangaroo skin
scripture case! It was a gift from her son who served his mission in
New Zealand.

One day we go over to help this new family move in, but we get there,
and it is all done! The wife was under the impression at she needed to
feed us, so we stayed and ate. She felt bad for us coming, and have
nothing for us to do, so she was looking for stuff we could do, but
then we ended up feeding, and watching the pet raccoon they inherited.
It was so cool!

Today I got to see Wanda, Latisha, and Aamir! I love them so much! Tonight
we are going to Lake Sacajawea with members to see the fire
works. We are so excited that the 4th is a Monday! Thank you leap
year!

Be Progressive!  Buckle Up!

It is crazy to think that my mission is coming to a close. This next
week is going to be busy!
Happy 4th everybody!
